The ASTRO Report

Hey ASTRO family, Kiri here with the ASTRO report. We wanted to let you know what’s been going on before we power down a bit for the holidays.

First of all, our pro teams have been rocking the tournament circuit.

OpTic Halo attended Iron Gaming Columbus, the first Halo Championship Series LAN, and after a long hard fight took 3rd place!

In the world of OpTic Nation, @OpTic_MBoZe stepped down from his position of Captain and was released from the roster. Best of luck to him in his future gaming endeavors.

OpTic Gaming absolutely dominated the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare MLG 5k Tournament by winning first place for the 3rd week in a row! They also have some pretty epic bragging rights as OpTic Gaming’s very own Nadeshot won The Video Game Awards eSports Player of the Year. Congrats Matt!

If you want to catch more of the excitement, eSports is hitting the ground running in 2015 with five major events just in January alone:

UMG Orlando (Jan. 2nd – 4th) – Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

UGC20K St. Louis (Jan. 2nd – 4th) – Halo: MCC.

CS:GO @ X Games Aspen  (Jan. 23rd – 25th) – Counter Strike: Global Offensive

PAX South (Jan. 23rd – 25th) – Halo: MCC – ASTRO Booth FFA. More details coming soon, so keep an eye out!

Apex 2015 (Jan. 30th – Feb. 1st. ) – Smash Bros & Fighting Games

Holiday Bundles will be available through early 2015, so if Santa opted to get you something else this year, you can still take advantage of this great opportunity. At such a great discount, these bundles are perfect for treating yourself with any acquired Christmas cash.

We hope you have a great holiday season! Take plenty of time off to kick back and catch up on some quality game time with your fellow ASTRO Family members.
