We’re packing up our bags and filling them with excellent swag to make this the best PAX East yet! Last week, you may recall we touched on some of the things we’ll be up to this year, and we wanted to make sure you had all the details before you arrived in Boston this weekend.
We’re proud to announce that not only are we the official headset of PAX East, but we are powering the ESL Arena with ASTRO Audio, including the Halo Championship Series Season 1 Finals where 8 North American Teams and one European Wildcard will face off for a $50,000 prize pool. If you aren’t able to attend PAX East you’ll be able to tune in to the action live on Twitch.tv/Halo.

Meet & Greets – Halo, DayZ & Stream Team
OpTic Halo will be among those competing to become the first ever HCS Champions, and we couldn’t be more excited for them. On Friday evening from 4:30 – 6:00, stop by the ASTRO Booth (#6124) to shake hands with Flamesword, ACE, CntrA, and Assault and show your support for your fellow ASTRO Family members as they head into battle!
DayZ made an awesome info graphic so you’ll know exactly when you can catch up with your favorite DayZ storytellers and Brian Hicks.
If you want to learn the ropes of live streaming for a living, you’ll want to stop by our booth between 3:00-4:00 on Saturday afternoon to meet with the pros and entertainers of the ASTRO Family Stream Team. Ask them questions about how they got started, get your favorite speaker tags signed, or just hang out. This is a gathering you won’t want to miss.
Braaaaainz – Get your pic w/ a zombie and get a discount
The Plants vs Zombies mascot is back for PAX East and is looking for some brains to munch. Stop by the booth in the half-hour window between 11:30 – 12:00 or 4:30 – 5:00 on any of the three days and not only will you be able to take a photo with the undead, but the Skullcandy PvZ earbuds will be available for only $10! Make sure you hurry though, because once that zombie shambles away, so does that discount.
Gaaaaamez – Get Your Game on
If you’re in more of a competitive than social mood, we’ve got you covered there too. Within the ASTRO booth you’ll be able to play Dying Light, some 1v1 with Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Alone in the Dark: Illumination and Killer Instinct. If you’re feeling especially daring, you should stop by the booth every morning around 10am and see if you can take down our very own HKsmash in a game of Killer Instinct. Should you win, honor and glory will naturally be yours, but there may be some extra swag involved as well.
ASTRO Gear – The Usual Suspects and PAX Exclusives
No event would be complete if we didn’t come prepared to equip you with an audio arsenal. We’ll be carrying a full inventory including our standard A30s, A40s and A50s as well as the MixAmp Pro. We’ll also be carrying our Special Edition Halo A50 for those die-hard Master Chief fans eager to complete their collection. Need to replace a cable? We’ve got you covered. Need an extra bag to carry all of the great swag you picked up at PAX? We’ve got you covered. We’ll even be carrying a few hoodies for those of you who didn’t quite pack warm enough for the chilly Boston weather. We’re thoughtful like that.
Of course we’ve also got a few new items which you won’t be able to get anywhere else. In honor of our recent partnership with Battlefield™ Hardline, we’ll have 30, and only 30, exclusive speaker tags that will be available for purchase. These are tags that will not be sold on the website, and to be fair to those of you who don’t have 3-Day passes, we’ll only be selling 10 per day. So if you’re itching for these rare tags, you’ll want to get to the booth fast.
Battlefield™ Hardline won’t be the only tag exclusive at this PAX East. Though not for sale, we have a very limited number of Alone in The Dark Speaker Tags that we’ll be giving away to some lucky ASTRO family members. Hint: You definitely don’t want to leave your A40s at home this year.
