This weekend we’re headed to The Forum in Los Angeles to celebrate COD XP with the ASTRO Family. COD XP is the ultimate Call of Duty experience for eSports competitors and die-hard fans alike. Returning with Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, 2016’s event will feature the Call of Duty World League Championship (COD Champs) and the premiere of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare 4 Remastered. Along with new gameplay, Activision is hosting action packed activities all weekend long: Zombies Laser-tag, Nuketown Paintball and a special concert starring Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa on Sunday night. What more could you ask for?!
COD Champs:
It’s been a long road to COD Champs and the pros are reaching their peak in Black Ops 3. Stage 1 & 2 of the Call of Duty World League saw many surprises, upsets and spectacular moments but it all comes down to this. 32 top teams have earned their invites to compete on the global stage and fight for the right to be crowned the Kings of Black Ops 3. Who are you rooting for? Submit your best guess to the Gamestop Winners Bracket Challenge for a chance to win $25,000!
ASTRO Family:
As the Official Equipment of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 we’re excited to provide COD XP with over 500 A40 TR Headsets and MixAmp TRs to power the audio on tournament & demo stations. Inside The Forum – COD Champs will be powered by our MixAmp TR to create an even playing field for all competitors. Outside the venue, their is another event center where Activision is hosting several new games and DLCs. This is the first time to get hands on game time with your friends, so make sure you stop by for intel. You may discover some new techniques that give you a leg up on your enemies before Infinite Warfare launches on November 4th.
XP Live Stream:
If you can’t make it to COD XP – have no fear! Activision is presenting a monstrous 4-day stream dubbed the XPZone. Hosted by 2 of our favorite casters, @CouRageJD & @MLGPuckett, the live stream kicks-off Thursday @ 9:30am PDT with the first match of group play at COD Champs. We’ll be supporting all competitors with our products but we’ll be cheering directly for the ASTRO Pro Teams to take home the gold. We’ll be rooting for teams from the top CWL regions including: Australia’s Mindfreak, the United Kingdom’s Team Infused and (unofficially) North America’s Rise Nation. Good luck & have fun!
