This weekend the world’s largest gaming festival takes centre stage in Jonkoping, Sweden – DreamHack Winter 2016. Whether it’s to compete in some of the biggest eSports tournaments of the year, or just coming to spectate, tens of thousands of people will be in attendance from all parts of the globe; America, Europe, Asia and Oceania, you name it, they’ll be there.

 
The Exhibition

If you’re a frequent DreamHack or expo visitor then you know how good it is, but for those first timers you’re in for a treat. All you tech lovers and game enthusiasts will be in heaven when you enter the exhibition hall, it’s like an all you can eat buffet of the latest and greatest hardware to try out from the biggest and best companies in the world; peripherals, PC components, audio experiences, and more. On top of that, you’ll get the chance to go hands on with some of the latest gaming titles, and even some unreleased titles from certain publishers.

 
ASTRO Booth

There’s really no exhibition without an ASTRO Gaming booth, and we won’t be letting you down there. If you’re coming to DreamHack Winter then make sure to come by and say hello to the ASTRO Crew! We’ll be hosting multiple ways to demo the ASTRO A40 + MixAmp TR with some of your favorite games. First, we’ll be running a special CS:GO competition in our PC demo area with new A40 + MixAmp TRs as prizes! Throughout DreamHack fans can also demo the brand new A50 Wireless + Base Station on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 while playing Overwatch in our booth’s living room experience. Furthermore, you’ll be able to purchase ASTRO headsets and accessories from the DreamStore, where every A40 + MixAmp TR  purchased will receive a free set of A40 Speaker Tags.

For all you eSports fans out there, you’re in for a treat. No matter whether you’re attending the event or not, you’ll be able to watch some of the biggest tournaments of the year on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, DotA 2, Super Smash Bros, Hearthstone, Overwatch and more. It doesn’t matter if you’re in the crowd to experience the atmosphere, or at home watching the livestream, you’ll definitely have your hands full this weekend with eSports action.

DreamHack also caters to the more casual eSports competitors who like to go with their teams/friends in the “Bring Your Own Computer” (BYOC) halls where gamers bring their computers, monitors and peripherals to compete like they’re playing from home, but surrounded by thousands of others doing exactly the same. We are excited to offer ASTRO fans the opportunity to borrow the A40 TR Headset in the DreamHack BYOC Area with a valid ID to enhance their audio experience during the event. Live Music & More!

DreamHack’s main stage is known for showcasing some of the best eSports matches during the weekend, but also vastly known for it’s amazing opening ceremonies and live music concerts. You’ll also be able to catch the finals of the cosplay event which people don’t take lightly, some of the costumes are absolutely incredible, they look just like the real thing.

All in all, DreamHack Winter 2016 is set to be an incredible weekend, and really not one to miss out on.
