ASTRO Gaming was born in 2006 at the heart of the console FPS competitive scene. Driven by our passion for competition, our goal was (and is) to provide gamers with the best possible audio and communication experience.
Our mission to improve the sport of gaming has expanded over the past 14 years, and continues to do so. Because of this growth, we realize the need for a singular home to share the latest updates on ASTRO esports and have now launched the official @ASTROTR Twitter account. We chose this name based on our Tournament Ready (TR) line of products, created to meet esports athletes’ rigorous standards for audio fidelity, comfort and durability.
This account will be our new home base for all esports news, events, partnerships, and discussions. We’ll also keep you up to date on the best moments and opportunities from our partners in one place. In addition to covering the many facets of competition in FPS, FGC, ASTRO sponsored Leagues, Teams, and Pros, following @ASTROTR will be your ticket to exclusive gear drops and giveaways.
With the upcoming 2021 Call of Duty League Season, we’re preparing ourselves for all the excitement that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War pro play has to offer. Of course, we’ll have CDL exclusive Pro Team Tags and the official CDL A40 TR Headset like last year, but we’re also excited to bring you a few new surprises over the coming months.
We look forward to sharing our favorite ASTRO Gaming Listen-In moments with you every weekend and watching hot takes from casters and analysts in Contesting the Point. Is it too early to start predictions for this year’s MVP?
For all you FGC fans, this year is already starting strong. We’ll be sharing our favorite Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition moments along with updates on each event so you don’t miss a thing. Ten/O’s Intercontinental Fight Club’s inaugural season just kicked off, bringing together top TEKKEN players in Asia, Europe, and North America. We’re proudly supporting Mortal Kombat and the ICFC, and we’ll keep you in the loop of those updates as well as plenty of other FGC events and news throughout the year.
If you’ve been honing your skills and looking for a chance to put them to the test, @ASTROTR will keep you in the know for all of Beyond’s free-to-enter tournaments, ladders, cash prizes, and events. Whether it be Gears of War, Rocket League, Call of Duty, or more, Beyond is the best place to start your journey to becoming a pro. And of course there’s ASTRO Gear giveaways for those who’d rather just watch; you won’t want to miss out on those chances either.
The ASTRO Family wouldn’t exist without its members, and organizations like UYU and pros like JWong live at its heart. With pro players, teams, and content creators, (and of course sick merch), UYU has everything a growing pro needs to keep entertained. Keep an eye out for updates on charity streams, tournaments, and some of the best content creators esports has to offer.
If you know FGC, you know JWong. This one-of-a-kind, likely-an-alien pro puts out content on a near daily basis and makes a point to give back to the community. If you want a chance to compete against JWong, show off your skills, AND win some ASTRO Gear, join one of his many Head 2 Headset events or Downback Fightclub tournaments and put your training to the test.
If you had a keen eye, you may have caught some of our limited edition Gears Esports apparel drops last year. Or, if you got lucky, you snagged some of our limited UYU Speaker Tags. This was just the beginning. Love exclusive loot? We’ll have even more awesome drops coming your way this year.
Of course, we can’t reveal all just yet. We have some big plans for this year, and can’t wait to share them with you. Thanks for checking us out. We’re excited to have a new dedicated channel to share our love of esports with you all: @ASTROTR.
