Here’s a step-by-step breakdown with images of how you can bring your design into reality.
1. Head to the Speaker Tags Customizer and click the “Design Tags” button.
2. It’s time to think about what you want your tags to look like! There are five different ways to alter the three different tags available here.
To the left, you’ll see those five options. You don’t have to go in order, but here are descriptions of each customization option starting from the top.
Background: Click here to choose a solid background color from a variety of hues. You can select from the predetermined colors in the hexagon or choose “More Colors” to pick any shade you like. You’ll see it automatically fill in the selected tag in the center of the screen. Once you’re finished, click “Done” to apply. If you want to remove the background, choose “Remove.” You can do this until you’re satisfied.
Pattern: Choose Pattern to overlay a pattern on top of the colored background you chose. If you prefer no background underneath the pattern, just skip adding a background. Patterns include a variety of different shapes. You can change the color of each pattern by selecting “Change Color” in the pop-up menu. Change the pattern’s scale (zoom in and zoom out) with the slider below that. If you want to start over with a different pattern, choose “Remove.” When you’re satisfied with the pattern you’ve selected, choose “Done.”
Graphic: You’ll find a variety of different images here you can use to add to your background or pattern, whatever you choose. From an Astro symbol to simple stripes, pick what you want, choose a color, and watch as it’s attached to the center of the tag you have currently selected.
Upload: You can use custom artwork here. Drag your files from your computer to the gray square to upload them, or click the orange text to find the file on your device and upload that way. Click “More Upload Options” for a way to paste a URL of an image hosted online. When finished, you’ll see your image appear on the speaker tag. For best printing results, your image should have a pixel density of at least 300 dpi (820 x 940 resolution if filling the entire speaker tag).
Text: Click “Text” to add text in a couple different fonts. Fill out the “Your Text Here” blank with whatever text you’d like to see on your tag. Choose your font with the dropdown box below your text. Beneath that, choose “More Options” for additional colors, paragraph alignment, and more.
3. When you’re finished customizing your first tag, you can swap between the three available to you using the orange left and right arrows below them in the center of the screen. You can start on any of them that you’d like and return to working on the tag you prefer at any time.
There are a few options at the bottom of the Customizer screen to help you edit your tags.
Remove: This button will help you start from scratch by removing all artwork from your selected tag. Only choose this option if you want to completely start over.
Copy: Go to the speaker tag design you want and choose “Copy” to make a duplicate to add to your three tags. This is a useful tool for helping you make two of one design so you don’t have to go to the trouble of doing it again.
Preview: Click “Preview” for a sneak peek at how each individual tag might look on your headset. You can swap between tag designs and frame colors here.
Guide Lines: On the bottom right of the Customizer screen, you’ll see a “Guide Lines” toggle. This will turn off the line surrounding each tag that shows you where it cuts off. You can turn it off if you don’t need it during your design session.
4. When finished customizing all of your tags, go to the right of the Customizer and click the “Add to Cart” button. Alternatively, you can choose the “Share” button below that to generate a link to send to others so they can get a good look at your handiwork. You can publish your creation to Facebook and Twitter from there as well.
*Custom tag orders ship from a separate warehouse from the rest of our products and thus will likely arrive at a different time from the rest of your order (unless your order is custom tags only). Printing times can take anywhere from 1-2 business days depending on the complexity of the uploaded design(s), so orders could take as long as 3 business days to ship. Once the order is in transit, transit time will vary depending on the shipping method of choice: 5-7 days for Domestic (US) ground shipping.
